What is micro deep drawing?

Deep drawing is a forming technique in which you deform a film or sheet (of metal). The possibilities of the shape of the final product are endless! Round, square or randomly shaped three-dimensional products: much is possible with micro deep drawing.

At Mubion, we are focused on micro deep drawing, which means we make products starting from 20 micron wall thickness and dimensions starting from 0.5mm. In the process of deep drawing, a flat metal sheet is pressed into a die by means of a punch. The material deforms plastically into a strong seamless hollow object with a uniform wall thickness. Depending on the complexity and shape of the product, several deep-drawing steps are required to arrive at the final product.

2: Toolshop & prototyping

Om snel gereedschappen te fabriceren, hebben we bij Mubion een in huis toolshop. Dankzij onze eigen toolshop kunnen we snel aanpassingen of nieuwe gereedschappen maken.

Krijg je met technieken als frezen, draaien of buigen niet het juiste onderdeel voor jouw project of product in grotere aantallen? Met micro dieptrekken kan je vormvrij ontwerpen, heb je een betrouwbaar proces en een licht en stevig eindproduct. 

4: Nabewerkingen

Veel producten hebben extra eisen aan gaatjes, randafwerkingen of oppervlakte structuren, waardoor het soms nodig is specifieke nabewerkingen uit te voeren.

5: Kwaliteit

Een product dat batch over batch dezelfde maatvoering heeft, tot op de honderdste millimeter nauwkeurig. Dit kunnen we realiseren door eigen ontwikkelde machines en hoge standaarden.
